Pioneering Inclusive Education

On 10. november 2025, in Special Needs Education, by Mads Bo-Kristensen

In this article, I share the professional legacy of my father, Kurt Kristensen (b. 1933), and his pioneering work in inclusive education

He transformed special needs education in Denmark in the early 1960s and helped establish key institutions in Africa in the 80s and 90s.

My father collaborated with organizations like UNESCO and UNICEF to promote global inclusion for children with disabilities.

His legacy lives on through innovative practices, lasting institutions, and ongoing international efforts for educational equality.
